I found your article quite perceptive and concur that discussions on social issues at NLS tend to gravitate towards a mere portrayal of ‘wokeness’. But I am left wondering why you chose to withhold your identity as the author of this article. If you’re recognising your failures in unlearning problematic political positions in your personal life, a question of the genuinty of your apologetic stance arises when you choose to maintain anonymity. I feel as though employing anonymity is a mechanism to avoid accountability for your past actions and your acknowledgement of the same is mere lip service. A meaningful discussion on systemic problems in the dynamics within the NLS community is not possible without a honest introspection of our own involvement in this culture.

Please reach out to me if you feel that I have misunderstood your position on this! I understand that there may be other reasons to do so that are not apparent to me.
